Hospitality & Venue Lighting Guide

In hospitality, lighting is about more than just visibility—it creates the atmosphere that drives revenue. Solar lighting offers a unique advantage: flexibility. Without wires tying you down, you can adapt your lighting layout for weddings, events, or seasonal changes.

1

Flexibility for Events

Event spaces often need to change layouts between a wedding ceremony, a cocktail hour, and a seated dinner. Wired lighting locks you into a fixed floor plan. Solar units like the SO-FLAME or SO-LUNA can be repositioned as needed. We recommend using weighted bases or ground spikes for garden areas to allow easy movement by staff.

2

Creating "Instagrammable" Moments

Guests love sharing photos of beautiful spaces. The warm, flickering light of the SO-FLAME series (1600K) mimics real fire without the smoke or fire risk. Placing these around seating areas or along entry paths creates a warm, inviting glow that looks great in smartphone photos, effectively providing free social media marketing for your venue.

3

Safety Without "Floodlighting"

The challenge in evening venues is keeping paths safe without killing the mood with harsh security lights. Low-level bollard lighting directs light downwards onto the walking surface, where it's needed, rather than into guests' eyes. This preserves the intimate atmosphere while ensuring you meet your duty of care for slip and trip hazards.

Common Questions

Do the flame lights look realistic?

Yes. They use a warm 1600K LED with a programmed flickering algorithm that closely mimics the movement and colour of a real torch flame.

Can we move them inside for storage?

Absolutely. Many venues bring their portable solar units in after service to prevent theft or damage, then put them out again before opening.

How long do they last at night?

In summer, they will easily run all night. In winter, they are designed to cover the peak service period (dusk until late close).

Are they waterproof?

Yes, all our units are IP65 rated or higher, meaning they can be left out in the rain without issues.

How bright are FLAME lights?

FLAME is designed for ambience rather than floodlighting. We can pair it with pathway lighting where higher visibility is required.

Can we bulk order for multiple venues?

Yes. We support multi-site operators and can coordinate delivery in stages.

Do you offer installation support?

Most venues self-install, but we can recommend local installers if needed.
